An extraterrestrial force threatens the planet in Team Fortress 2's new event created exclusively by the community, for the community-- INVASION! Over a (light)year in the making, we're excited to finally hit the launch button and have the community join in on our fight against the alien menace!
So buckle up, grab a space gun, and get ready to have your mind probed (and blown)!
The Invasion starts TODAY!
For one month only, you can participate in the Invasion Community Update event and receive exclusive cases filled with rare items, weapons, and Unusual effects just for this update! The event runs through November 5th.
From now until the end of the event, you can pick up an Invasion Community Update Pass from the Mann Co. Store. Activate the pass to receive an Invasion Community Update Coin, which will track total player kills and player kills on any of the Invaded Maps during the event. After the event, the stats on the coin will be locked. All proceeds from the sales of the Invasion Community Update Pass go directly to support the Invasion Community Update Team!
Players who own an Invasion Community Update Coin will also receive exclusive Invasion cases as random drops. All cases require a Invasion Community Update Key to open.

Proceeds from the key will be shared between Valve
and the Invasion Community Update Team.
Declare intergalactic warfare and fight it out on 4 community-created, Invaded Maps:
Make first contact *right in their stupid face* with these exclusive high-tech weapons found inside unlockable cases. Each weapon has a rare chance of being Strange.
Yes, like you suspected, we have new cosmetics. What you probably didn't know is that these inter-dimensional duds fell from a hole in spacetime! And then we called dibs. Apparently the aliens don't have a word for "finders keepers" in their language because they're really not respecting the dibs. Each of the hats has a rare chance of being Strange, having an Unusual effect or --if the planets are aligned-- *both*. (If anyone asks where you got it, tell them it fell off the back of a space truck).
This adorable little scamp will immediately find its way into your heart-- literally! Show off your parasitic pal in this taunt for all nine classes! The taunt also has a rare chance of being Strange, having an Unusual effect or *both*.
